hey kids-
love ROSETTA as much as me? no you don’t, but that’s a hard thing to do. but if you live on the west coast and want to see them live, now’s your chance! they’ll be touring with the always awesome CITY OF SHIPS and the crushing BATTLEFIELDS (all translation loss bands). hearts will be broken, faces will be melted. and when you do see them live, be sure to purchase this three color hand screen printed poster from yours truly. all of them are signed and numbered as always, and made with love*.
since this is low res and the dates don’t show up so well, be sure to swing by http://rosettaband.tumblr.com/ and get the complete listing. be sure to request their cover of the song “pregnant” by r. kelly.
<3tFk!
*no love guaranteed.
This tour is happening right now!
“Ayil” from the new album, 3/28/2010 in Brooklyn.
Rosetta have a busy summer ahead - a US tour with City of Ships, including a stretch with Battlefields, supporting their new record, A Determinism Of Morality (Translation Loss).
Plus, they have a new Tumblr.
Fuck Yeah 2010: BATTLEFIELDS
Battlefields thus far have 3 tours planned for 2010: The Translation Loss Records tour of the Northeast with Rosetta and City Of Ships than begins later this month, a co-headlining run w Junius that will include dates at SXSW, and a European tour w Manatees in April/May. Battlefields just released a 1 side 12”, Entourage Of The Archaic (Init Rec, above), and are presently writing for a new record to follow their brilliantly textured, psych-a-downtempo masterpiece, Thresholds of Imbalance.
Fuck Yeah 2010: ROSETTA
2010 for Rosetta looks huge. Having just released a 3-way split, the band are hitting the road as part of the epic Translation Loss tour w Battlefields and City Of Ships later this month, and then w Starkweather in March before heading to Europe with City Of Ships this summer. Rosetta can be seen in the studio w Andrew Schneider, recording their new full length (presently in mastering stage due out later this year), and are planning numerous split ep releases.
For fans of all of these bands (as we are), the review on BV will seem shortsighted, but the photos by Jason Jamal Nakleh are great.
